Sad, haunting song. A friend, Oleg, did this translation. Thanks, O!

"Mellow chime"
Through the drowse and dream I hear mellow chime,
Those little bells in grass are messengers of the dawn,
Clusters of rowanberries have blushed in the Russian plains,
Something has touched the soul in the depth of the homeland,
Mellow chime at the dawn; tell my dear land that since my childhood I'm in love with it and this mellow chime.

This mellow chime comes from windows of my mother's home, from the high star, from the passed trouble,
The dusty road where we used to walk in the meadows begins to glow, where through the dream you can here the mellow chime,
Mellow chime at the dawn; tell my dear land that since my childhood I'm in love with it and this mellow chime.

  • @Nrthnmaverick Good!

  • Many seniors give with the whole heart and ask only for pennies in return, the whole world over, they are our parents, living on tiny pensions, surviving wars and keeping us sane with their love and wisdom, begging on the street. Lets be kind and generous to them.

  • Beautiful Lady.

  • @inukirby992 people of many ages appreciate this

  • She has an amazing voice, only complemented by her skills on the accordion. I'm just glad that I, a person not even beyond that of 15 is able to appreciate this. She's amazing.

  • I am Polish, grew up in U.S. and no music leaves me as emotional as the Polish, Russian, Ukrainian & Lithuanian music. I love all the European music I grew up with!!!

  • @DaleCaliente you're a moron, our country was harassed, ravaged by war, and raped but of course you wouldn't understand, your ignorant. this song is about the love of my country regardless of its faults and how loved our childhood was, easy or hard it was at times. but you wouldn't understand that because you'll never have a hard childhood, because you live in a spoiled country, were food is plentiful, but yet you still find the time to use the words starving and famished.

  • @Katerey523 beautiful song, for those of us who have more than a 200 year culture at least. this dalecaliente is an idiot, he has no idea what it means to leave a country that we long to be in wether it is was hard or easy to live in, our roots reside there, pay no attention
