  • I'VE ALWAYS loved this theme song. I'm a pianist and I'vwe always wanted to do a piano solo of this song. I have been wondering , '' where is this theme song ? '' I have recorded it on my tape recorder . This is a B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L song.

  • I LOVED Family Classics as a boy in Chicago in the 60's and early 70's! We will never see it's kind again.

    So many great movies, but two of my favorites -The Time Machine and Captains Courageous. Thank you for posting this beautiful song.

  • @herrveidt Family classics was still a must in the early 80's as well! i am 36 yrs old and i have very fond memories of having my little (popeye) tv tray out in my grandmothers living room so i could watch classics like the incredible mr. limpet,oliver,danny kaye movies, and around spring tornado season the animated Journy back to OZ...still a favorite!.

  • Oh you kids...Family Classics was a Sunday (late afternoon) evening must back in the late 60's and early 70's...good old Frazier Thomas ( I've yet to meet another person named Frazier in my life time?)...have you?...YOUNG TOM EDISON,...BOYS TOWN,..ROBIN HOOD,...etc,....oh boy...I miss him....

  • This was a huge part of my childhood in Chicago. Family Classics with Frazier Thomas. The movies were so great. There was a time when TV programing was actually meaningful.

  • Me too the 60's and 70's in the Chicago area was the best for me too I grew up in Hammond IN. just out side of Chicago and this was definetly part of the magic. And I remember it comeing on on Sundays this was a great part of my childhood thanks for posting it.
