right shift on the oxygen diss curve...decreases the affinity of oxygen to hemoglobin therefore it is released more easily to the peripheral tissue.
Left shift on the oxygen diss. curve will create an increased affinity of oxygen towards the hemoglobin molecule therefore less readily released to the peripheral tissue...please take note of this correction...apologies
