Six-minute micro-documentary filmed on the North Bull Wall, Dublin, on a day of rapidly-changing weather in September 2011. The Bull Wall is one of two man-made breakwaters on the North and South sides of the mouth of Dublin Bay. The breakwaters were completed in 1824 after a survey of the barely-navigable harbour entrance to the city by Captain William Bligh (of 'Mutiny on the Bounty' fame). At the end of the wall is a statue of the Virgin Mary, crowned by twelve stars, that sits atop a three-legged plinth 18 meters high which faces, not east, towards those at peril at sea, but inland to the City of Dublin - this is known as the Star of the Sea. The Wall is a popular strolling and bathing place for residents and visitors to Dublin with time on their hands. A nature reserve lies to the northern side of the Wall. On certain days, the area is bathed in dramatic light and has a beautifully eerie and melancholy atmosphere...
