I booted my Mac Mini G4 (PPC) the other day & it didn't boot the os, it showed a grey screen for about 15min, and then it showed the "Question mark of death".
What do I do? Please I need some help.

  • check your cables connecting your hard drive. My powermac g3 had that problem and i found that the end of the ribbon wasn't fully attached. I attached it and it worked!

  • @poiiihy thank you that worked.

  • OK well u got two options. The first one is simple, just insert one of the CD installation that came with ur mac and on the top of the menu click disk utilities and repair from there ur hard drive. If u dont find the hard drive on the repair mode, that means that your hard drive is already broken. This will produce the second option. If uve warranty go with apple, if u dont i dont recommend u apple and go with a mac specialist and ask him for hard drive prices.

  • Thank you for the information this will help me a lot.

  • lol finder has gone on vacation

  • Whenever mine does this, I hold down the alt key while booting and select macintosh HD. Hope this helps.
