This is a great tip. I never thought of that, I'm going to use it for a pile of pens and markers which I've just been throwing in a bin.

@Deckdoi I got these boxes at IKEA. They came in a pack of about 6 or 8 (I think) in 3 different sizes. They cost less than $10 for the set! What's also really cool is you can unzip them and fold them flat when not in use. I've even used them in my luggage when I've gone on really long trips. Thanks for the comment!!!
