  • i just sent in a yamaha receiver and when describing the problems that were about a receiver he wrote down the product i was sending was speakers because it was in the same purchase on the same date, also the receiver was in a yamaha receiver factory box! i am waiting for it to get back. the level of incompetence at the geek squads is mind boggling. why wouldn't they send my factory warrantied receiver to the manufacturer? who knows how to fix it! if it weren't for shipping i would have donethat

  • This video is fake. Youtube is full of scam relealing videos from Best Buy. So many people busted for charging $100 for an unplugged HD cable.

  • GEEK SQUAD IS THE BIGGEST SCAM!

  • I prank call their line al the time xD,

  • @apache249 if the unit is under manufacturer warranty, they provide the hard drive. Installing a third party hard drive would be a breach of warranty

  • Geek squad is a rip off 40 dollars to install ram, 150 dollars for installing a flipping graphic card, rip off i say for a task you can look up on the internet and be disgusted that it cost too much.

  • What customers really pay for is the full priced replacement parts, the labor rates at a cool $80/hr, and the expense of all that shipping!

Do yourself a favor and find a local geek who can give you an honest assessment, and a fair price! Search your local ad websites!

  • I work at Best Buy and I always wondered where I was sending this stuff to.

  • @WanderingArtificer <-- This person is right. I just had to install a new power supply which meant unplugging everything. I was on the carpet with it, just kept touching metal in the case every other minute to keep my self grounded. On top of the PSU I also put some new RAM sticks in and a new graphics card.

Computer has been working fine. But yeah, I think since they are "professionals" the wrist strap should be a requirement, like washing your hands after using the bathroom as an employee.

  • To the "top comments".. You are supporting US citizens, not China or India. I work in the Louisville branch and without that job, I'd be homeless.
