BTW....it isn't Weaver-Vegas....its Wureville. We (me, Stanley Bencivenga, Allan English (aka Bozo), John Tineo, Mike Smith, Danny Phillips) named it that back in the '70s. Of course we were all higher than hell, but it seemed appropriate at the time. Did you ever hear about the pot-plant that was growing in the Weaverville constables (before they had police) front yard (guess who threw the seeds)...what a hoot!!!!!

Haha well it's weaver-vegas to us young-n's! lol Doesn't surprise me....but some of the names on your list sound familiar! lol do you happen to know the Rice's (Rodney, Raye, or Kenny)? They we're around Wureville about that time...lol

If you think its nothing now, you should have been there in 1966!!! That is when I moved to Weaverville. No Weaverville Blvd (well, not like it is now). Since then I've lived in Tucson, AZ and Charlotte, NC. I prefer Weaverville to all of them, even it has nothing. How goes the new shopping area where the trailer park used to be?
Chris....Weaverville, 1966 to 2006.

Well....they booted everyone out of them and last time I saw (I've been in FL now for a year) the were beginning on the foundation, ground moving, leveling, all that fun stuff! I herd it was expected by 2010... but who knows It could be up right now for all I know! lol

not really, the first church you said was the fellowship hall/classes for weaverville metchodist church across the street. You forgot weaver blvd, lake louise, northridge commons, and north buncombe middle/high. that was only about 70 percent of the city.

Obviously not a serious video.....lol I lived in Weaver-Vegas pretty much my whole life....I went to NB el-high so weaver blvd, the lake, northridge, and the schools....not really much to look at! I hit the main attractions!! Maybe missed a Micky D's, drug store or two and a few ingles' but thats about it.... (showes enough to win the Weaverville in under a minute bet i had going with a friend!! lol) ne ways take care...
