Linethma Sethumlee is a 5-year-old Sri Lankan girl who lives in Dubai. She has a very rare condition called congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia, which means that her bone doesn't heal from fractures the way other children's bones normally do.

Thanks to a global partnership between the International Center for Limb Lengthening at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics (RIAO), Sinai Hospital's executive leadership, several other departments within the hospital and the Little Wings Foundation, Linethma will eventually be able to walk and do what she loves to do: dance.

In this video Dr. John Herzenberg, director of Pediatric Orthopedics at Sinai Hospital and director of the International Center for Limb Lengthening (ICLL), discusses Linethma's surgery and the future of her recovery.
