Crash at Mid-Ohio during AHRMA VMD

This was Saturday's BEARS race at AHRMA's Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid-Ohio. A very suddenly and light rain shower caused the oil from a previous crash to float to the top of the track, turning it into a skating rink. I was one of 9 bikes that crashed in a matter of a minute or two. The race was red-flagged, restarted, red-flagged again, the restarted for a 3rd time later in the day. I made minor repairs to my bike and was able to join the 3rd restart to finish 5th.

Pass under a red flag? Not on your life. The red flag didn't even come out until after I was on the ground for about a minute.

hell if there was no red flag i would have passed them too. Mid-oh is slippery in the rain fo sho.

Why didn't you ease up when your fellow riders alerted you? Had to hot dog it into a soil sample, huh? Bummer...
