Analogman Boss DS-1 Pro mod with midrange control. Tone 11 o'clock , Mids 1 o'clock , Level 10 o'clock, Distortion all the way back. No.1 Amps single ended 6V6 amp, Gibson 1990s Firebird w/ J.M. Rolph PU's, Marshall 1974CX 112 Cab, Weber 12A125-A Alnico Speaker.
Even though the Boss DS-1 is a distortion pedal, with the Analogman mod you can use it for low gain, vintage Blues & Jazz tones, too. It delivers anything from clean & crunch to lead sounds with the guitar's volume control and your pick attack.
Thanks so much for the demo! I was curious to see what the DS-1/Pro sounded like on '0'. Sounds like I could pull off Blues/Rock with this nicely.

Pleasure! The DS-1 is my favorite of the modded pedals. Please note that I played with the guitar's volume way back most of the time, though. Best regards, flo

I think Rolph Pickups are as good as it gets when you're looking for vintage tones. Just make sure they're unwaxed and low-wound. I also got Rolph Strat and Tele PU's and they're just perfect. I don't know if he offers Firebird pickups any more, though.
