  • What brand of reel is that that you are using? Shimano?

  • @CPatty13 Yes, Shimano.

  • @fishingwithrod What model? Stradic? And how much do you spend on good spinning gear. I need a good spinning reel for wading.

  • @CPatty13 That is a Twin Power (rear drag), an European model that is not available in North America. It's equivalent to a Sustain, which is also an excellent model. I have both a Stradic and a Sustain and definitely prefer the Sustain due to its durability. It's a good investment if you are willing to spend the money for it.

  • @fishingwithrod where do you live

  • @skhdjashdjashdka We're based in Vancouver BC.

  • what river is this?

  • @CPatty13 for salmon id recommend a 9' medium lamiglas or gloomis or st croix, there are many models and prices for them so its up to you, higher the price usually means a better rod but all of them are really good, and for a reel id recommend a shimano stradic, stradic fj, or stradic ci4, preferably the sustain if you can, shimanos are so great because of its quality features and components, and the spool/lip design is ingenious

  • @brandmarketing Yes, depending on the size of the spinner I guess, usually 10 or 12.

  • @fishingwithrod Ah ok, thanks! So you're referring to a barrel swivel? What size would you recommend?
