wow...that was really good. Those guys could play fast back then. Levey was a left hander but played drums right...he was very good at those tempos. An unsung hero of the drums. Up there with Max Roach and Roy Haynes if you ask me.

Stan Levy was a left handed drummer. He played for many years at Howard Rumsey's "Lighthouse" in Hermosa Beach in L.A. Victor Feldman was a teriffic piano player who really cooked on the vibes. And Scot LaFaro was untouchable when it came to bass. I saw this group appear live on a jazz television show and it was unreal to see and hear them play so fast and so accurate. It was such a loss to lose Scotty so young.
How quick they play! Is this the original speed? Isn't it digitally processed?
