  • how do you get your red tail shark to have so much color? my 2 red tails have color but not as much as yours.

  • To be honest i don't know, it could be the lighting in my aqaurium compared to yours? or maybe the type of camera, but i vary the type of food I feed, various flake, freeze dried food, frozen and live, also I clean the panes of glass one at a time every few days or so, so that algy is in various stages of growth on the pane. this way the algy never gets to old (i noticed mine doesn't like it when it's too built up/old) and this way there is always some fresh to be eaten, just my thoughts.

  • how many litres is this tank?

    PS:Looks awesome!

  • It's only 20 liters so a bit small. I would recommend a minimum of 25-30 litres if you wanted to keep a red tail shark, plus make sure you have lots of hiding spaces for it by using drift wood and plants etc. Thats how I think I'm getting away with keeping mine in a 20 litre tank, that and the fact all the other fish are non-territorial and mid to top level swimmers so are never in "his" space.

    Cheers for the compliment.

  • 20 liters is a bit small for your red tail shark, hope to see him in a bigger house :)Keep up the good work.
