  • There ARE good SCHP troopers. However, the SCHP has the lowest training of SC, GA, and NC.Incidents like this happen frequently(look at the menu bar on the right)in the SCHP and recently the top brass had to resign. There is no excuse at all for this. The trooper was showing a disregard for public safety and should be charged and do time for this. The SCHP should be disbanded and all personel reviewed for inclusion in a new State Police. The new State Police should be more diverse as well.

  • You Posted "There ARE good SCHP troopers."

I agree and support those SCHP.

  • IRISHPROUDWOMAN,

If you wish to discuss law and proper law enforcement (legal) procedures, I will discuss this with you. If you continue to attack people personally, I will delete your reply and block you from replying. I will not allow personal attacks on anyone. If you want to know something ask.

You may have heard this before: If you cannot attack the evidence attack the person. That appears to be what you are doing.

  • man this trooper is a bright one!!!!

  • Did he say "C'mon B****!" at 0:55? Or am I hearing wrong.

  • Cops here in Charleston are pissing more and more people off each day.

  • Well you go right ahead and support these very absolute disregards HUMAN life. It shouldn't matter how much money you make each person in this country has the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. What happens if that cop hits and kills that five year-old boy I know he didn't but the question I want to be addressed is what if he did? For those out there who have lost loved ones prematurely to violence you know what that question means. I can not and will not support such actions.

  • THAT SHIT WOULD HAVE NEVER EVER HAPPENED IN A UPPER CLASS OR MIDDLE CLASS NIEGHBORHOOD. I just pray the man running committed some horrific offense. It still amazes me that the only time there is a disregard for human life is in poor areas. I can't even describe the anger and contempt I have for this piece of work cop, I mean aren't they trained to run down perps? And you wonder why people in low-income situations hate cops.

  • wow this is absolutely horrible, he chased him through a housing complex by a park, where children play thats completely ridiculous, people could of been hurt or killed,i would of definately complained, regardless if he was running the officer was putting others peoples lives at risk,by driving through peoples front yards,so if it was turned around and the driving through your yard you wouldnt throw a hissy fit?

  • It's not the SCHP as a whole's fought just this one officer and he is a real nutcase because I saw all the bystanders who could have gotten hurt he was flying around a playground. I've never seen an officer do something so nutty normally it's suppose to turn into a foot pursuit at that point.

  • Wow this video is horrible! Did anyone notice the father and his child that had to jump out of the way of the squad car because he was so hell bent on chasing him down and essintially trying to run him over... God help us!

  • Oh I agree, we should be asking when we watch this "who is the good guy?". We dont know if the fleeing suspect is guilty or not. That's what a court is for, and any good honest lawman cant argue that. Thanks to the trooper, we have to ask "is HE a good guy?". for an agency so wrapped up in the mystique of being "the elite", their behaviour is certainly not beyond reproach

  • The SC highway patrol has always been like this as long as I can remember. It's like the wild wild west, best thing they can do is open up to the public with an apology campaign on TV.
