  • So many books to read. Adding a ton of these to my list. :)

    Also, I adored Anna.

  • @italktosnakes You know, it was because of your 52 books-in-a-year challenge you did a few years ago that made me start doing it too. Soooo thank you. :)

  • Hey, this is really cool. Thanks for sharing. I just requested a whole bunch of these at the library. I can always use new books to read. Not that I have the time to read them of course!

  • Nice Doug! Miss you, fella!

  • Are you on GoodReads(dot)com? I love it as a way to keep track of the books I've read and see what my friends have read/are reading.

I loved the Westing Game when I read it as a kid and still really enjoyed it when I read it again a couple years ago. I just finished Anna the other day and really loved it.

And I just decided to try to read 52 books this year a couple weeks ago and I've only read 3 so far so I'm starting off behind. But I've got a big to read list and am enjoying it.

  • I'm in the middle of Boneshaker (I admit, the zombies were giving me nightmares and I had to read something else for awhile) and totally loving it. I've heard that Dreadnaught is even better so I'm really excited to get to that.

If you want to try something different, I'd recommend adding some nonfiction to your reading.

Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris (funny, lots of focus on language barriers)

The Undertaking by Thomas Lynch (funny, about being an undertaker—seriously)

  • the dark tower series by Steven king

  • Boneshaker lost me halfway through, though i mean to finish it at some point, Lost at Sea is fantastic, and The Westing Game is my second favorite children's book of all time, right behind Prisoner of Azkaban.

    Good books to read:

Machine of Death - short stories about people who know how they will die, very very good

Spin - scifi where the fiction is adequate, but the science is nothing short of beautiful

    Tangerine - really good YA

The Bible - By someone called "Anonymous". #lolWBCjokes
