  • Does this dilute the paint as well or would you still need to add water to thin the paint for application?

  • @colddrake80 It can thin the paint very slightly, but not much. If you wish a thinner paint you will still need to add diluent.

  • I am just learning to paint and like the video, it came recommended by Ghost. I must admit however that i am not sure how a wet pallete helps you in painting. Can you explain its advantages?

  • @TabletopModeler The big advantage of the wet palette is that it allows you to keep small amounts of mixed paint that you are working on usable for days, rather than minutes. If you wish to grade your shading it allows you keep the same mix rather than trying to replicate it over and over. The other advantage is that it helps the flow of paint, reducing the requirement for heavy thinning (especially in GW paints) although some thinning may still be required with very thick paint.

  • @TheRealMythril Okay, thanks. It's a neat idea since I paint while I'm working and often have paint go dry.

  • I'll buy all the stuff needed tomorrow, just looked on the Sainsbury's site and it should only cost £4, hopefully it'll work well as my paint dries so damn fast ATM.

  • wicked idea, i waste so much paint by having it dry out. I also hate having to keep mixing my custom colours, this is great!

  • nice easy info... I use it but not enough.... oh ya been meaning to ask...what are the braces for??? not that it's important but wanted to ask anyhow...if you want to answer cool if not cool

  • Very good idea, simple but highly effective!

  • @TheRealMythril Thanks for the insight! I had not considered needed a specific paint mix for a few days. I can clearly see how useful it would be with the amazing models more experienced painters work on.
