I picked this old East German camera up at a car boot sale a few weeks ago - it came with a 2.8 / 29mm lens and a working light-meter.

  • @zhemin No it doesn't need batteries to operate, it only needs batteries for the light meter.

  • Does this need a Battery for the shutter to fire ???

Bcoz mine is stuck ;'D oops wrong face ;'O

I got mine coz it had a Carl zeiss Pancolar ;D

  • i have an mtl3 and loading the film is worst compared to any other camera i owned.

  • The camera does have a hot shoe.

  • I found an old one from my father... xD

  • I have the same camera, picked mine up at a thrift store for about 14.00 bucks Canadian, I have since picked up a few other lenses, it is my favorite camera that I use for macro photography. It is such a reliable camera, virtually foolproof. It's a pity that it is getting harder and harder to buy and have 35mm film processed.

  • Yes it's a hot shoe for flash.

  • these things are invincible! i've had three different models and none of them has ever given me any trouble :) no rotting mirror damper foam or light seals, no dodgy shutters. really impressive and simple design

  • i got a praktica bc1 with a 210mm lense and the pictures i get with film is mucher better then my step dads 18mp digital slr camera

  • Terrible. You should pick up a shovel, not a camera.
