  • one of the best vh albums

  • The very poor production on this album hurt some great songwriting. As it just sounds very weak. I understand what they were going for but it just did not work. Gary does his part very well. But what can do.

  • @benemles This song is an enigma . The best guitar work lies everywhere but the solo. I agree the solo really really sucks

  • I remember when "That's Why I Love You" leaked, or was released on the Internet, just before this album came out. I listened to that song hundreds of times and couldn't wait for this album. I was disappointed with it at the time, but I've come to appreciate it.

Before this album, Sam and Dave wrote the lyrics to the music. I read in an article that for this album, Ed wrote some of the music (maybe all) after Gary wrote the lyrics or poems. Ed said he was so inspired by Gary's writing.

  • one of the best songs ..theyve ever made..eddie rocks out of usual mold.

  • @SONY24069 Fuck yea it does.

  • i like it better then the sammy era. i liked the 1st 4 albums best. but i far like this more then the 5150 era

  • I saw Van Halen live in New Zealand back in 1998 when this album came out. I did not know what to expect with Gary Cherone as the new lead singer. All that I can say was that I was totally blown away with his performance. I think he had something to prove and he sure gave it 110%. A great voice and excellent stage presence.

This is one of Van Halen's finer songs and Eddie's guitar playing is pure genius. Sounds amazing on a good stereo at full volume!!!

  • Great song.Period.

  • @angel95bg Amen to that!
