Lord Foster, chairman and founder of Foster + Partners, has launched proposals for the Thames Hub -- An Integrated Vision for Britain.
Foster + Partners and Halcrow have worked together on a self-funded study to produce a detailed vision for the Thames Hub. The study is unique for its scale and strategic cross-sector thinking and the outcome is a holistic vision for future infrastructure development in Britain.

I disagree about the High Speed Rail - It's useless and a waste of money. I do agree with the airport. We need it now. Cancel HS2 and use it to fund the AIRPORT.

Thames Estuary Airport: Wrong For Kent, Wrong For Britain
Now is not the time to borrow money for vanity projects. Many London airports could benefit from cheaper, more cost effective methods to boost capacity and effectiveness. In a time of austerity it is wiser to use existing infrastructure more prudently than spend money we do not have on luxury developments we do not need.

The estuary is unique and so large that it could not be recreated anywhere else in Europe, so mitigation is not possible.
The argument for a massive increase in aviation capacity cannot fit with the UK Governments targets to reduce emissions

No matter how impressive Lord Foster's plan may look the threats and the risks remain the same. An airport in the Thames Estuary is a complete non-starter ecologically, environmentally and economically, and to go through all these arguments again is a complete waste of everyone's time.
