you should read the book if you liked the movie. it tells you alot more what happened.

One of my favorite parts is at the very end when Henry goes to Paulie and begs for help. Paulie's cooking sausage & peppers during the scene - you can almost smell them (the move has many well executed scenes where food & cooking play a subtle but key role in depicting that culture). Anyway, Paulie hands Henry a few thousand dollars in cash and says "Now I gotta turn my back on ya..."

When I was 16, there was a period of about two months or so when I would come home from school and watch Goodfellas while eating an entire large bag of potato chips- five days a week. I was a fat son of a bitch for a while after that, but I never got tired of the movie!
