"My hand's tired..."

Is that a cheeky reference to self-pleasuring while your lover is far away?

now nearly every song can be interpreted that way, so i dont think so. As an example about self.pleasuring:
Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary hands to rest
Dont you cry no more

get my point? this one is just beautiful

The music, the words, and his voice all carry so much emotional resonance when he sings "My mind is racing". So many bands could only dream of capturing that.

He really has lost touch.
It seems like anything after UP really lacks emotion. the last 3 albums seemed really emotionless and empty to me. even Accelerate, which was sort of just "okay" seems really empty. it's not heady anymore, it's not poetic, and it's not emotional.

still, i can't wait to hear this one that they are working on now. i won't lose hope.

they need to ditch jacknife lee and just go with some raw, unknown producer (or self produce) and just do it!

"This could be the saddest dusk ever seen"... Seriously, where does he get this stuff from - what a fabulous first line! And why has he lost touch???

A song of divorce, loneliness, disenfranchisement.. Having to go it alone. I've been there.
