@JamesCannon7 Look at McLeod's legs. Left leg blocked Spurgeon from turning, and right leg gave power to the hit. He may have been trying to stop, but then he shouldn't have held onto Spurgeon either.
@spg911 I admit Dan Tehaar and Mike Greenlay are derps sometimes, but in slow-mo it doesn't seem that bad. But full-speed, you can feel it just by hearing the sound of the crunch.
@delacroixwalrus It's always been that way. Last year, with the Gillies-Clutterbuck incident in NYI, Islander broadcasting made Gillies look innocent. And earlier this year, when Koivu hit Kronwall during a PP in OT in Detroit and the play then turned into a game-winning goal by Setoguchi, Red Wing broadcast made it sound like Mikko was a cheapshot. I swear sometimes the Wild get the short end of the stick (no pun intended) when it comes to getting hit and suspensions.
@jaketheprogamr I broke my shoulder on a hit from the side from a guy barely bigger than me. (I'm around Spurgeon's size) I never went back. I'm surprised the little guy wan't hurt more than he was and returned three games later. What a trooper.
Put yourself in his shoes. The kid is 5'9 and was hit by a guy well over 6 .. Yeah ouch! Leave him alone . He trys his best as the small player

@delacroixwalrus Exactly!! The Wild always seem to just be out of reach of greatness.

@DeviltoGeorgia34 Which is really funny, since Detroit's goalie was holding onto Setoguchi's stick for 10 seconds prior to Setoguchi scoring.
The NHL wants to move the Wild to another state in the country. They hate minnesota and want to repeat the "stars".

@casanovajako Now that you mention it, I do see that. Spurgeon had nowhere to go.

@delacroixwalrus Brodziak got tossed earlier too.

@TheRespect33 He dropped the gloves on McLoed. Heatley, Koivu, and I think Brodziak raced in as well to stick up for the little guy.
