When I was a little girl I lived two doors down from my best friend. We practically lived at each others' houses. She and her family were very religious and once in a while, they would BLAST Tobymac CDs. And we would run around the house with her little brother, slipping on the wood floor in socks.
I'm 19 now, not even a religious person at all; I don't even know if I believe in God. But I always come back to these songs. They're like a lost piece of childhood, they always soothe me.
