Thank you very much for posting this video. It's a very generous thing.

Thank you for posting this video. We are about to begin IVF w ICSI #1 and I am terrified of all the shots that come with the process. My husband is nervous too. We have no idea what to expect but your video has been helpful. Are there more Sub Q shots than the IMs?

when you inject menopur, when you push the plunger in to give the injection do you feel some resistance? I did it tonight and i feel like it takes forever to push the plunger down.. could that mean i got into the muscle and not fat??? i am pretty skinny and go straight in but do pinch skin, but tonight i let go of the pinched skin during it

why is there air in ur syringe? you are not suppose to pump air into your system, it can kill.

Both my medication package instructions and our UCSF fertility clinic nurses say either 45 or 90 degree angle is fine.

Menopur is for inducing ovulation, if you have diffuculties getting pregnant. It has nothing to do with diabetes ;)
I also use it myself, every day for 15 days now. No results unfortunately

Sub-Q injections are actually 45 degree angles because you really don't want to hit a blood vessel. Plus it's less painful :)

thanks for the video, wish you lots of luck !
is there any other option besides needles or any other location on the body?

As far as I know, no- these meds must get through the body via injections. There are two types of injections: Sub-q which is this one, and easier, and then intra-muscular which is right into the muscle and hurts. You can see my progesterone-in-oil video for an example of IM. I think sub-q's can also go in the leg, but that's about it. Sorry.

also - thanks for this. I'm doing an egg donation cycle and starting Menopur tomorrow - I've gotten used to the whole injecting myself with the Lupron, but I feel a lot more confident now about the mixing part of Menopur! :)
