Test of my Mars 4 v's Dinotte 400R bike lights v's Suzuki Swift
The Dinotte is plainly far brighter than the Mars 4 though they are both very visible in daylight and are both brighter than 5 watt car tail lights.
I never ride without lights, even in daylight, so my lights need to be very bright to be worth using.
The big plus with a daylight test is that the video recorders auto exposure won't kick in as I have seen in many night tests which can make even low power lights look very powerful.

  • @thebakerman1 shit mate, I've forgotten

  • How is the battery life on the Blackburn?

  • @MileHighMark about 4 hours before the batteries need charging (Duracell 1000mAh)

  • lol. I might have to get that vanity plate.

  • @JeeRaph It is actually avaivable in NZ at $800 it's about the only plate I wouldn't see as wanky, but it would really need to go on a scooter/motorbike but those plates are limited to five characters over here

  • @thebakerman1 lulzes

  • Yeesh, I think that train stopped pretty close to you :-P

but seriously yes you are visible and as normal it is us care drivers that don't use common sense and give other road users enough room on the road

  • @downfader2 Yea, this type of light is great for being seen, day and night, the trouble is they give the slow, dim witted, cyclist haters, more time to change lanes to buzz you

  • What I love about rear lights like that is that when it is dark they illuminate a section of road behind you, so if a driver/cyclist is coming around a corner they sometimes see your light before they see you.
