A preview of "Doncaster Remembered - 100 Years of Trams, Trolleys and Buses" - NDVD1001 from Nova Home Video - available now from Nova Store - http://www.novastore.co.uk.
On the 2nd June 1902, two electric tram routes opened, running from the town centre to Balby and Hexthorpe, starting public transport in Doncaster. During the next 100 years, Doncaster would see many different types of trams, trolleybuses and motor buses running through its streets.
On the 2nd June 2002, the first tram journey from the Mansion House to Hexthorpe was recreated with a cavalcade of Doncaster buses, and many vintage buses ran again through Doncaster - if only for one day.
To celebrate 100 years of public transport in Doncaster, this video looks at the history of Doncaster Corporation - from the trams and the trolleybuses, right through to the buses, using interviews, detailed views of various preserved Doncaster vehicles and over 20 minutes of archive cine film - much never before released.

Glad to have seen this video. Yes, Denaby crossing shown. That was at Denaby Main. Now long since changed with the "Pit" gone and a recently new bridge over the river Don and the main Doncaster, Sheffield line.
