wow, i knew a little about this. didn't know it was that bad.
our capitalist model is horrible, it only benefits those who can afford it. at some point it has to reach a breaking point. i think that point is coming. whether or not we can wake up early enough is the real question.
the system is broken and those in power will not fix it. elections are skewed and a revolution is the only way.
Ron Paul March in Washington---coming this Memorial day or July 4th. oh yeah!!

OMG this is Hawaii? I thought Hawaii was the Land of Paradise where we could go to relax under the palm Trees with a ukalele as the Hula Dancers entertained us! This is not the Hawaii I remember seeing on TV!
-
That's why hawaiians should pay less since its OUR land. People deciding to move here should pay more.

Now the home prices are coming down, but the banks will not lend with the economic real estate and banking bust of 2007/2008 still affecting the markets.
The people who had been made homeless from the reasons put forth in this video are not able to gather the bank's required 30% down payments for the lower priced homes now on the market, and they most likely have had their credit ratings totally destroyed as well due to being homeless. The middle class also are now having these problems.

OBAMA AND ALL POLITICIANS ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR WALLETS.. NO ONE ELSE

Keaukahaha was a joke I lived on Hilo side my whole life. The coconut nigger thing was kinda lame cause most my friends are local. But if you do live there then you "get it" I'm in jersey now working and the whites & blacks. Omg so prejudice way worse then Hawaii, but the blame game was my point. You sound cool so think of it like when a local says " not all Haole's are bad but most are". If you do live in Hilo. You already know what I'm speaking.
Love all people blame & prejudice is all fear
-
@Haoleplumber94 Dude it's 'Keaukaha' not 'keaukahaha'. And it's not there i would know i live in Keaukaha it looks nothing like that. But true people camp there. Dude if that happened to you then just ignore those bitches. And i agree they should get a job but nowadays finding a job is tough. And wow really 'coconut niggers' ah?? You sound like a nigger saying that.
-
Then call you a fuk'n Hoale. Well I say get a job. You coconut niggers
-
Ur white ? And have bought in to there bull$hit, I'm 3rd generation " fuk'n Hoale"
Blame blame blame. And that first picture is of keaukahaha beach park where they camp every summer. There not homeless!!
And I agree with your thoughts on world peace the problem is 90% are takers & 10% are givers '!!! Its a economical & emotional black hole and it's not only in Hawaii. Blame whitey. You get sick of helping after you've worked for days and a certain group just watches and drinks beer then

@Sexiesttalk What happened to the basic human principle of loving one another? Instead of looking and and spitting on them, we should be helping them get away from their problems. If all human beings did this, there would be no poverty in the world. Maybe it's people with attitudes like yours that are supporting the problems.

The truths behind the poverty in Hawaii is affecting the native culture and minimum wage earners of manual labor jobs.
I don't think Queen Liliokalani would have let her people suffer like they are currently at the hands of the Lingle Administration. We all got Lingled in the end... The tyrants ruining Hawaii is caused by the cash catalyst called greed and ineptness sure doesn't help. Wake up all you Republicans and corrupt Democrats, DLNR needs to also focus on more public housing.
