China Gates from Art Clay

The performance took place in Switzerland in front of the main building of the ETH Zurich. The performance lasted 40 minutes in length and this was reduced to 7 minutes film playback. Each section of the film is divided with information blocks, which will help the viewer enjoy
the structure of the work and the function of the wearable computers being employed.
Each section of the film shows a different combination of rhythmic phrasings created by the movement of the players. The film begins and ends with the players together. The video clip show the structure of the work very clearly.

A very particular metallic sound developed with the gongs played together produces a kind of trance, a very interesting performance that covers all the space. The place sudenly becomes occupied by a ritual ceremony. I like it. Thank you for sharing it.
