  • is it dangerous/possible to induce ketosis in a thin person with no fat storage?

may it go straight to ketoacidosis?

    thank you

  • There is danger of excessive weight loss whether in ketosis, fasting, or starving. But if calories are sufficiently increased to cover more than the increase in energy utilization, the ketosis is not fundamentally dangerous. Because coconut oil causes spontaneous weight loss in mammals, it poses an added concern. Two clients reported weight loss despite dramatic increases in calories and appetite. Bottom line, use your nose to detect acetone. This can happen when starting ketosis.
