Raccoon almost hit by cars as it runs around the street

This crazy raccoon is just going crazy on the street. He even seems to be trying to get run over by a car and truck.

"Just so you know...HE DID NOT GET HIT...A few people actually got him out of the road and back in the woods."

What is wrong with this crazy animal. Wonder if he is sick or maybe even a pet that got away from his owners.
