I know it seems kind of silly, but this makes tears come to my eyes. The Russian (both Kirov and ESPECIALLY Bolshoi) performance of this ballet were a great part of my childhood, and I have such happy memories. Thank you for this clip.

This was one of my favorite ballets, my family and I watch the tv special they showed in December even though it came on late at night, but I always was creeped out how Herr Drosselmeyer tried to insert himself between his goddaughter and the nutcracker as if he was jealous.
