I don't know at this point. Despite our efforts (we put about 2 years worth of work into this clip), this series did not do well on our Comcast show. We are trying to figure out how to re-cut it to improve it's reviews. It's also a series that is close to my heart and it's hard to share something like that only to have people dissatisfied. What it classically attacked with this kick is the ilio-tibial tract of the fascia lata. This long thin band of muscle and connective tissue is heavily enervated and provides structural support and assistance to a number of more important muscles in the leg. It's primary function is in stabilizing the knee and providing knee extension during walking. It is known to be used extensively in horseback riding and if you think of it, fighting dynamics have a great similarity. That's why it works.

From my experience 1 good leg kick ends the fight with an untrained guy.

I've ended sparring sessions with amateur fighters 30 kg heavier (bodybuilders) with 1 good leg kicks. (I was suprised myself)

Trained figthers might survive more kicks untrained are finished with 1.

Strong leg muscles can lower the impact from my experience.

Forrest Griffin once seriously injured an untrained person with a "soft" leg kick. Poor guy had a hair-line fracture of the femur.
