**** UPDATED INFO & exclusive LINK BELOW **** How to make my Pretzel Bun along with still shots of my hair down. Hair 40" long in this 2005 demo. UPDATE....You can use Amish pins, bobby pins, good hair days pins,or 2 decorative barrettes(one on each side) instead of the jaw clips. I also use smaller jaw clips which are less visible. At the time of this video I was just learning how to do buns and still learning the different hair accessories to use to hold it. The jaw clips were fast and secure although not very attractive! They also kept this demo shorter. There are prettier jaw clips on the market now! Please try this bun with different hair accessories. With my current length of 54" I can't wear the 2 jaw clips for long as it now hurts my scalp since my hair is too heavy. My hair is 14" longer than this original video. Now I distribute the pins or small clips more. The bun also has a couple more wrap arounds and looks slightly different. I might do a second "updated 2009" demo with my current length using different accessories.
Thank You for your comments and views! Hope you try this pretzel bun! Post your results here or e mail me at... JJJLONGHAIR(at)aol.com

I used something different in a 2009 video. See video response above. I use better looking clips now. I was just learning buns in 2005 when I used the clips. Even after 4 years I still love the clips since they hold my very heavy hair. I have tried many things and the clips still hold best. Have you tried this bun? Thanks for the compliment.
Would love to see you make this bun or a tutorial! Your hair is so beautiful. Love your tutorials :) I am planning a 2009 tutorial of this bun with my longer hair and try different ways of securing it. I am wearing this style today and I have 2 different variations I need to share! Bye
Hello! I have tried Amish style pins which are 3"long and Magic grip hairpins by good hair days. Depending on the weight of her hair, you might try 2 decorative barrettes on each side instead of the jaw clips. I have also used small jaw clips which are less visible. I need to make a slide show of different ways! How nice for you to do this style on one of your girls! wish I could see the results!

You have gorgeous hair, it doesn't get thin near the bottom like mine tends to do. I trim it every month and now it doesn't do that anymore :)
