Protocol for Peaceful Anti-Beadbi Rally at GNSS Dudley on Saturday 28 May 2011.

Sikhs are requested to start gathering at the Guru Nanak Singh Sabha Dudley Gurdwara at 12pm sharp.

A large Sikh presence is requested to show the GNSS Dudley Committee that the UK Sikh Sangat has been deeply hurt by the sacrilege that is being permitted and promoted by the Committee of allowing meat, alcohol and tobacco within the Gurdwara's premises. This is strictly against an edict given by Akal Takhat Sahib (the highest decision-making/spiritual authority for Sikhs) in its 2006 Sandesh to the entire Sikh Nation.
All Sikhs attending are requested to observe and note the following Protocol.

- Sikhs must join in and take part in the Naam Simiran, Mool Mantra, Chaupai Sahib Jaap that is intended to take place on the day, so that the Khalsa Panth receives blessings from Guru Ji to prevent all this Beadbi happening

- Sikhs must show restraint and conduct themselves respectfully even when addressing the Gurdwara Committee members and their supporters, the Police or any attendees of the Party. Do not engage in any arguments or debates

- The power of Sikh Community (men and women, old and young) turning up in large numbers, showing solidarity and restraint, adhering to Guru Ji's principles, will portray a stronger message to this Committee and the other Gurdwara Committees who allow this Beadbi to happen on a weekly basis in Gurdwara properties

- Sikh and non-Sikh media will be present for you to voice your concerns to the wider Community

- Support those Gursikhs who will be taking a lead on the day

- The Sikh Community from across the UK will be uniting to attempt to stop this Beadbi from happening on the day, though Sikhs attending must understand that there still may not be a resolution during the rally. Along with the blessings of Guru Ji, the Sikh Sangat's continued and ongoing support and vigilance will be required to ensure the success of the Satkaar Campaign

- Intimidation or violent behaviour will NOT be tolerated. Do not come looking intimidating i.e., do not wear hoodies or any face coverings. No swearing or slogans will be permitted. To show solidarity please wear blue Dastaars, Rumallas and Chunnis

FINALLY, REMEMBER, you will be representing the roop of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaaj.

  • bet most of this gursikhs left and had a meat kebab and beer afters.true.

  • @firststartup yes some 2 idiots hot blood they were arrested 1 was then released later

  • why is ther even commitees in the gurdwara? its a place of worship not a place of control !!!

  • basically for the people asking why this happened, the gurdwara commitee members and trustee who eat meat and drink themselves are using the sangath's money to fund a community centre where they hold parties drink and eat meat, how can you have a property that belongs to a gurdawar doing the opposite of what guru granth sahib ji says???? if our guru's were there would this maet and alchol happen no it wouldn so how do they have the guts to do it infront of guru granth sahib ji!!!!

  • the gurdwara is the religion guidian if it cant follow the rules of sikhi. What is the hope for rest of us. All the preaching becomes hot air

  • But...... if they supply a building that is completely seperate to the gurdwara for parties business meeting religouse gatherings ect then i feel that is okay. The comity are just supplying the building what the tenents want to do with it is intirley up to them, Best thing about it is its completely seperate to the gurdwara sahib complex and the temple enjoy the financial gain from it which in turn could help towards future porjects for Sikh youth and comunity.

  • What no has explained is WHAT is the Sangat doing protesting outside the temple, why are they protesting whats happened????

I am a, as i belive a VISUAL SIKH but true to my faith from my heart and very proud of it. However i do occasionally drink but eat meat reguler, I do not eat meat or drink alcohol if i know i am going to the gurdwara and if thease people who run the temple are allowing meat and alcohol to be consumed in the same gurdwara building then that is completely UNACCEPTABLE. cont

  • How did all the windows get smashed up ? Who did that Sikh people protesting?

  • that is unfair im a drinker and meat eater ido not want the gurdwara to subsidise my habits the problem is like the labour party of 80s riddle with a socialist communist

who have no support buthave.. to leach on to others to get power

dudley people we buy our beer we not need a free drink from the gurdwara

    sort your self out

if you need a free drink come to coventry not a gurdwara

i will buy you a round until you drop
