Rascal's mah doggie. I swear, I've never seen him look so pitiful before.

Stella is the bigger one and she's my sister's gerbil. She was up for adoption since whoever owned her before couldn't keep her.

Sprockett (mine x3) was the last female at the store so we got her too because gerbils that live alone go through depression and die quickly (so if your gerbil died, you probably needed to get another of the same gender). http://niah-miyoki.deviantart.com/art/Sprockett-131040510

Gerbils make excellent pets! I've had eight gerbils in the past and only one was mean xD It's best to get two at a time of the same gender (brothers or sisters, but girls don't fight as much) and not to pick them up by the tip of their tail. If you MUST pick 'em up by the tail, the base is best. And hold them a lot or else they become aggressive later on in life (they live a max of 2 yrs). Replace the bedding, water and food often. Gerbils bury their food so just keep pouring it on over the other food. Do not use cedar or pine bedding, it causes infection in gerbils.
