This is the procedure I have to go through every time I want to go sailing. I've been on the waiting list for a mooring from the Town of Falmouth for over two years and will probably have to wait several more years. This video shows what is involved in raising a tabernacle mast that is hinged at the base. Its a lot like unfolding a ship in a bottle with the masts hinged to allow the vessel to pass through the mouth of the bottle. Fortunately, I have the help of an electric winch located in the bed of my pickup, which I am able to operate using a wireless hand held remote. The mast is made of aluminum. The catboat is a Herreshoff America and bears the name "Hope". I typically launch the Hope from Green Harbor in the Town of Falmouth, Massachusetts (Cape Cod). The surreal buzzing noise you hear is because the video was accelerated. I recommend you turn down the volume, but don't turn it down all the way...
