RATE PLEASE. I have been helping everyone with their questions and troubleshooting via comments and PMs so it would be great to see this vid get 5/5! THANKS!
Newly installed pioneer AVIC-Z2 in-dash nav/dvd player in pontiac G6 GTP. Brief video of navigating through menus, back-up camra feed, ipod interface, and other stuff. In video there is a brief moment when the camcorder has hard time recording the sudio demonstartion and the weird distorting noise is from the camra, after the unit was installed there was a huge difference in sound quality, no distoriton at high volumes and overall clear sound. I have the Monsoon speaker package.
A few features
-back-up camra(sold separately)
-bluetooth adapter for placing calls (sold separately)through the unit.
-Ipod connector which is hooked to my Iphone(and yes the call feature via bluetooth works simulotaneously while the Iphone is hooked to the IPOD adapter.)(sold separately)
-full voice command
-30 GB HDD
-rip musoc cds to HDD
-DVD player

  • would a 7 inch indash fit into 06 g6 perfectly with out cutting anything

  • @bigb0806 You take out the factory radio and you buy the double din dash bezel which you may need to trim depending on what type of double din you get. If you get a fixed double din where the screen doesnt flip down then you wont need to trim that bezel that you buy. My screen flips down and thats where the hdd and disc drive is so i had to trim it a bit.

  • i had a quick question. i was wondering why my speekers would buzz in my 06 g6 gtp coupe. it seems that the buzzing getts less when i play a cd. the right rear and driver door speekers buzz the worst. i just tho8ught i would ask because it seems like you know a lot about audio. thanks again i rated 5 stars!!!!!

  • @Kawasaki8002 I replied back to your message with a few tips and a link to help you in your guide to fixing your issue. Since I had my headunit replaced I also had the speakers rewired and that helps the sound btw, just in case you get a aftermarket HU in the future. Thank you for the rating.

  • to keep the info centre all you gotta do is buy one of the special info mounts from crutchfield its a little lcd screen that goes under the new deck and shows all your info real handy.

  • @orieoman You cant put a info center under this unit because the 7" screen is a double din unit so you have to locate the info center somewhere else as I said before. If you had a flip out single din unit you could do that but with this one you can't.

  • i have a monsoon unit in my car and i am looking to replace it with an aftermarket stereo and subs. The only problem is im not sure which wiring harness to use. I dont care much about onstar or my steering wheel controls and i know i have to rewire my speakers away from the factory amp to the new stereo. Any help would be appreciated.
