  • You lost the war....get over it

  • If the Germans made it why didn't they use it? It was obviously superior.

  • Awesome birds!!!

  • @radx78 Now, here is an English requirement designed in the USA built in Australia.

Big Beautiful Doll was/is a Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation Mustang built in Australia, the only other source of production outside the United States. Very sadly missed by all of us.

  • @Scharfschutzen1 Because that is America. Only the Native Americans are truely from this land. The rest of the poeple in this country came here from somewhere else. THAT IS AMERICA. We are part of a world economy and if the original engine was not effiecent we find one that is even if it is built in Britian.

  • @Scharfschutzen1 Edgar Schmued, was an American citizen at the time he designed the Mustang. He was working for North American Aviation, so the Germans did not produce the P-51 it was truely an American plane.

  • Good Bye,Big Beautiful Doll...:(

  • Manque juste l'odeur....

  • @Sinbad5150 The P-51 was developed for the British and was originally powered by an Allision V-1710 that performed very poorly above 15,000ft because it lacked a two-speed two stage supercharger that the Merlin had in the Spitfire. The British added the Rolls Royce Merlin to the Mustang which gave it the performance it needed to fly higher and faster at 440mph and outclassed the German fighters.

  • I know how you feel, i'm itching to go now! I think we need to have more B-17's fly over from the pond, along with some B-25's P-47's and some more aircraft to join in aswell! Still an absolute awesome air show, but it could be epic!

  • Great video :)

  • Oh man, it seems so long to have to wait before Flying Legends 2011. All I can do is sit and watch footage from previous years. 181 days to go.
