  • Just a question

the righteous described in Genesis 18, are they really righteous? what does righteous mean in this context. Also, how does it compare to what Romans 3:10 says. Are these different contexts? I'm a little confused on the matter, a response would be great. =)

  • @David578593 Thanks for your question! One of the most important concepts to remember in Bible Study is the "Analogy of Scripture," meaning that Scripture interprets Scripture. Given the Romans 3:10 passage that there is NONE righteous, we are forced to conclude that "righteous" is used in 2 different ways. The other definition would be that one is righteous in their effort to keep God's Moral Law. I personally think that this is what is in view in Gen. 18. Hope this helps--Paul1T2Day

  • Just so you know, you've still said nothing about Abortion. God passing judgment against Sodom and Gomorrah is entirely different from some teenage girl sacrificing her child. Pagans sacrificing children to Baal does not bring glory to God. Why do you think God wanted Elijah to kill the prophets? To say God wanted (and coerced) the pagans to sacrifice their children to false gods is pushing it. That's an affront to the "love" attribute of God.

  • An Arminian would have to answer the question also. Did their God know that all this evil would take place, yet not have a purpose for any of it? Which is better, the one whose sovereignty is to the uttermost and all things happen by predestination unto His glory, or God creating and not having any purpose or control over the evil that came about

  • @patriotsfan1379 Amen, thank you,Yes it's only by the Grace of God that any of us are not in prison.God Bless

  • @CBALLEN i love this comment you made and I find it soooo true only when we come to realize this can we be truely greatfull for the mercy GOD has shown to us who believe thank you again for you comment may the LORD bless you n keep you

  • Non-reformed people never take into account that God is holding everyone of us back from being the most wicked creatures to ever live.Man loves to sin continuously, only by God restraining us from most of what we want to do,can we have any form of peace.God removes our restraints only to fulfill His purposes.

  • okay but who is responsible for the evil? Is man responsible or God? Also does god in a way create a person to rape somoene for his good? Does a mans choice to rape someone come from gods choice?

  • So basically what this preacher is saying is that God never intended for abortion to occur. That their is such a thing as purposeless evil. Wow! That is scary.

  • Haha, I take offense at this as a former satanist. lol.
