If anything Michael Phelps should be even more celebrated for his amazing swimming because he smokes pot. Smoking makes your cardio worse and for him to be a smoker and STILL kick the shit out of everyone just makes it that much more impressive.

dude... it was a kick in the balls when phelps said it was a mistake and lapse of judgement.
although it may have hurt his sponsorship (hes still worth millions..), he could have made a difference if he just stood up like a fuckin man and said " yah, i smoke weed, but i use it responsibly. i just won 12 gold medals for fucks sake.."
