@thatbboyAli You don't advertise the word through lyrics, monologue, speeches, etc. that you wish to eliminate. You ignore it and don't use it, and you don't react when others say it. Coloreds do all of the above which makes it a very popular word.

@emozach19 80% of all murders in Pittsburgh are black on black violence, look it up. 15% is black on white violence. The rest is a couple poor ass white people that are desperate to get their heroin or crack fix, which they get off the niggers.

Wait, before you colored people wag your finger at everyone else YOU need to eliminate the word from YOUR vocabulary. To limit someone's speech based on the color of their skin is a violation of civil rights and racists. There, how do YOU like it???!!

Why should people abolish it?
@phoenixeye88, so the qualifications for being avant-garde and a leader is that you are perfect? Many U.S. Presidents were separatists, too. Does that diminish their leadership? Also, he didn't steal anything from anybody. He was put on trial for his politics. J. Edgar Hoover wrote that: Unfortunately, however, he [Garvey] has not as yet violated any federal law whereby he could be proceeded against on the grounds of being an undesirable alien, from the point of view of deportation."

20 yrs ago, I interviewed the last living person to work with Marcus Garvey, Queen Mother Moore. On a given day Marcus Garvey could organize 1 million Black people; twice the number that appeared at the 1963 March on Washington many years later. While all others see is separatism, I see badly needed self-determination and spiritual uplifting. Others need to focus on fixing what's wrong with their community and stop being so obsessed with Black people's business.
