We took a hike up to a series of caves in a bluff overlooking the river. A friend and I did a survival trip up here about 15 years ago. We found our old shelter and explored the area. The main cave is very large and has pure water pouring from a crack in the ceiling. Years ago it was terraced but time has filled in the terraces with rubble. Time erases the evidence of our being here. Old habitations make me think of my own short frail life.

  • Man that was great. I wish I could hike that area also.

  • @jeffbea98 Head up the North Umpqua, look for a rock poking out of the forest and start exploring :)

  • I no longer can endure looking off of things. It horrifies me a bit. Your getting a bit mystical there. Nice video Dan. What's next: Killing deer with home made arrows & cooking parts over a fire made with a bow & drill! Liver ya all in the same day!

  • @Tossdart My wife doesnt like watching my videos because she doesnt like seeing where our kids go... high places and such. heh, heh. Thanks. Wouldnt that be a fun video to make? Maybe someday...
