Star Ocean 4 The Last Hope Power Levelling/Fol Farming

Once you get to the Cave of Seven Stars, it's really easy to power-level and get Fol. Your target is the Metal Scumbags (メタルチンケ) on Floor 6. Equip the Scumbag Slayer and you can easily insta-kill them. If you have a lot of EXP+20%s on your equipment from Synthesis, and a fair number of blue tiles in your Bonus Board, you can easily earn well over a million EXP per battle. (For those of you who are wondering, the level cap is 200, however if you get a character's BT collection to 50% you can bump the level cap up to 255.)

Furthermore being Scumbags they sometimes steal money from you, to the tune of ~90,000 or more Fol per steal. If you kill them after they steal and you have yellow tiles in your bonus board (or if you have Fol +x% on your equipment, which I didn't), you can actually earn back more than they stole. So if you're lucky you can easily get several hundred thousand Fol per fight. Just don't let them steal your money and then run away.

Then, Meracle's Ocarina skill makes it easy to rinse and repeat. (For those of you who didn't know, Ocarina causes monster groups you have defeated to respawn, so you only need to find one group on the floor.)

Miscellaneous note, they do cast Void on you, and Void nullifies equipment factors INCLUDING the Scumbag Slayer's insta-kill property. So you should either equip Anti-Void Amulets or bring along Cure Condition. For those of you who are wondering I'm using Lymle because she has a BT for killing 99 Metal Scumbags; otherwise I'd use Bacchus's Black Hole Sphere since he can easily hit the entire field at once and kill all of them in seconds.

@kanetidus: lol fail. on the ps3 version you have the option to change the interface in the anime-style you can see in this video. but you can also change it to the "realistic" look but which looks imo kinda ugly
