Chasing Pavements ; A Nelena Story 2x28

Selena's head is lying on Nick's shoulder and she takes out her cell phone.
Nick: Oh jeez. You and that cell phone are inseperable. Who do you text at 6:45?
Selena: I'm not texting... *she starts blogging on her blog. Read it at http://cpnelena.blogspot.com/ read before you continue*
Nick: *he leans over and tries to read what she's writing*
Selena: *she finishes typing the last sentence and then puts a smiley face and then closes the phone quickly when she notices Nick spying* D-d-did you read that?
Nick: No. All I saw was my name. *he raises an eyebrow*
Selena: *she tries to change the subject and see's the book in his hand* West Side Story? *she rolls her eyes* What are YOU doing reading that book.
Nick: Well, you told me your crush Chino liked it.
Selena: Uh... not to sound nosey. But... you're reading it because a guy liked it? *her eyes widen*
Nick: No. *he rolls his eyes* I'm not homo Sel. You just said that you liked him. So.. I thought if you liked a guy who would read West Side Story. Then.. *he fades and continues reading*
Selena: *her face turns red and she stutters* Y-you're.. reading it... for m-m-me?
Nick: I told you I loved you, didn't I?
Selena: *she blushes and smiles and bites her lip* You did.. but..
Nick: I don't care if you don't love me back. I'm just glad we're... *he clears his throat and says softer* Friends.
Selena: *her smile fades and she thinks: Friends...*
Nick: *he thinks: Just friends.- then he sighs*

The bus suddenly stops and everyone gets up.

Selena's POV:
Well.. that just makes me feel awkward. That he's lieing. And I would know. I lie alot to him just to cover up things. And now he is too. I'm hurting him. ARGH. Why can't he just not say anything.

Nick: Lena, you okay?
Selena: *she snaps out of it and realizes she's already in the school hallway and opening her locker* Uh.. *she blinks a few times* I'm fine.
Nick: Okay.
Selena: *she takes out the project journal from her backpack, her binders, and pencil case* I'm good. Let's go to English.
Nick: K. *he walks with her down the hallway and they enter Mrs. Cullens room*

People stare at them entering friendly-ly. They hear murmers like "Are they dating or something?", "I thought they hated each other",and "Oh my gosh, is she wearing his clothes?!".

I sunk into my seat. Now is one of those times where I hate how I have really good hearing. I heard every single one of those comments people were making. I looked over to Nick to see a perfectly calm face just playing with his pencil. And then dropping it. What a dork.

Mrs. Cullen: *she looks at the two of us acting totally fine sitting together and raises her eyebrow* Miss Gomez, Mr. Jonas, I need your project journals please.
Nick: Sure. *he gives her his journal*
Selena: One sec.

I had the journal with me. But I started stalling. Why you ask? Because I just realized that I not only did all my project work in there, but I also wrote down all of my thoughts, and most importantly, that I love Nick in there. I could not give it to her.

Selena: Uh, I must've misplaced it.
Nick: But I saw--
Selena: I just can't find it.
Mrs. Cullen: Selena, you do know that not handing it in today counts as a zero? And that project journal is worth 2 test grades and a project grade? If you dont hand it in, your A average will drop to a B-.
Selena: *she thinks: Crap.* Hey, it's amazing. I found it! But uh.. can I talk to you .. alone.. for a second?
Mrs. Cullen: *she takes the journal but Selena doesn't let go of it and she pulls harder and finally Selena sighs and lets go of it* *they go to Mrs. Cullen's desk* What is the problem Miss Gomez?
Selena: You see.. I have some stuff in there. I mean I did all my work, everything! But I also wrote other stuff was going on in there because i forgot it was only for school.
Mrs. Cullen: Well I assure you, I will not show anyone this journal without your permission. But I still need to read it.
Selena: *she sighs* Fine. *she walks out of the class and gets shocked when Nick suddenly is standing there just waiting*
