TN, Hickory Hill Area Deadly Tornados

Well, folks as you probably know by now from watching the national news, between 30-50 tornados touched down in the South. I live in Memphis, which was a hard hit area. Luckily, my house was spared, when 5 miles down the road 3 people died and our iconic mall was destroyed. This vid isnt to interesting, it shows my reaction and the sky and the sirens.. At the end i have some video of the destroyed mall. Sadly, its in the dark.. but it was really crazy.. and I am shaken!

i live right near the mall and the tornado went right over us luckly i was on vacation my mom and dad were at the house lol i live in memphis and i wish i was there i always wanted to be a storm chaser

Dammit!!! I lived right next door to the Hickory Ridge Mall almost all of my life and as soon as I move to Los Angeles I miss the greatest storm ever.... This is depressing. If only I stayed in Memphis for an extra year....

This was excellent....your timing was perfect,from the 80 degree temp. to the shot of the mall..i live in Parkway Village and i was to chicken to video outside..i was to busy putting my family in the hallway..ch. 3 showed the tornado live coming into the city but Dave Brown coverage made have been the best especially when he announced that Shelby County was under a tornado emergency.

nooo they said when i got back from vacation they said that it bearly missed them and my dad he works at fedex memphis international airport and my mom went to o pick him up from work and she said ass soon as they got home bam!!!!! it happened god i prayed it didn't hit the mall but it did i loved that mall

I used to live about two miles from the hickory ridge mall. i could see kirby high from my house. now that i moved its crazy to see that mall got trashed.

i am glad you are ok but you really shouldnt have gone out right away, even though it seemed clear atmospheric pressure can change in seconds and find you trapped in your vehicle
