Well, ddlanz, I like the way you put that. Certainly my interpretation is filtered through my own experience of listening to PF and the justified true belief that life itself is inherently without meaning; no insult is meant to PF at all. Life is a cycle of events, yes, and a person's experience may be intense, but there is no intrinsic point to any of it. I'd say that's a theme running through PF material, a bit of a British outlook, and one reason for my initial comment. Thanks for yours!

Sorry I have to agree with darkzerk7.. Breathe - Time - Money - Us & Them - Brain Damage - Eclipse - it's none less than the circle of life, and the thematic choice of lyrics is actually very profound... Not at all meaningless.

Eclipse is the end of life and the album. Even time itself disappears and the heartbeat stops.. You're gone, your life is done. I think it's insulting towards PF to call the song meaningless. It's a vital part of the album, not a song of it's own but the conclusion.
