If I have kids I would show them this symbolic ritual that Saturday morning cartoons can do you for you. They can help you escape your school and other things like the news. This generation born 1995 doesn't know what the fuck that they are missing, because they can get it when they want. When we were a kid, it was only a 4 to 6 hours of Saturday cartoons without any educational shows, but then they really turned a downfall and then NBC turned to live-action and Saturday morning died with NBC.

@evilmasterstudios you forgot local networks you went for the satellite networks. Anyway, because they have decline, I could see that. Another reason was because of this Children's Television Act to regulate how many hour or hours you can have educational programming to the federal government. Another thing is that my favorite blocks were CBS, ABC, NBC (before they Teen NBC (gay) ruined Saturday morning cartoons, Fox Kids and Kids WB. This generation doesn't know what they are missing.SATam RIP

I meant to say now we have nothing rather than no in my first comment. In my second comment, I'm talking about the characters of today. We need beter animators to make characters look rich and fulfilling.
I say ban political correctness.

Thre needs to be different ideas for cartoons just so we can have cartoons on weekdays and saturday mornings again. They can apeal to all ages they just have to be good and rich with character and storytelling.
The characters all look disfigured and amature. With this and all of television there needs to be great characters, stories, and the writers behind them making TV magical again.
The movies are still rich with entertainment, TV has to be rich with entertainment again.

Cartoons were blamed for dumbing down America and making kids lazy and fat so they figured the less the better in the name of "education" and "health" no we have nothing or just stuff of poor quality.
The Disney Afternoon on weekdays and Garfield and Friends on saturdays, that's what I remember. Alongside looney toons and all animal ensambles which are my favorite.
The only human ensamble I like the most is the Peanuts Gang.

I remember The Herculoids, space ghost and others...plus some cool live action shows...
run joe run, shazaam, isis and land of the lost.
most of the new cartoons have crap animation.
