  • @sgedeon01 The article "Navy SEAL Commander Advised to get the Hell out of the Media" has General James Vaught scolding the current SOCOM commander for allowing too much SMU coverage in the media. Army retired General James Vaught was the over the first Delta Force mission (Operation Eagle Claw) in the late 1970's. So when he said "when my special operators pulled Saddam out of his whole," he's talking specifically about Delta. There's even a video about it on ABC news.

  • @6PMClan Task force 121 was tasked with going after HVT's like Saddam but it was Delta force guys from 121 who went to that area, captured Saddam and took him into custody. Go to the "american special operations" website, click on "Delta Force", and then on "Delta Force operations" and then on "Arresting Saddam Hussein" and see for yourself. Then google "Navy SEAL Commander Advised to get the Hell out of the Media." The article is on ABC news; read the article, and then get back to me

  • @sgedeon01 No you're wrong, as i said they were there with TASK FORCE 121 (made up of Green Berets, Seals, rangers, delta, CIA, and some infantry from the army along with them) the infantry for the army stumbled upon an area after the house raids (when they found the gold, weapons, money) where there was a covered hole they informed the other operatives of this, and there he was.

  • @6PMClan No that's wrong, Delta Force did capture Saddam Hussein. They were supported by an infantry battalion from the 101st airborne. After Delta took him into custody, they told the 101st to take the credit for the capture so Delta's involvment would be kept secret. Even General David Petraeus who commanded 101st airborne division during Saddam's capture acknowledged in a 2004 interview with Charlie Rose that Special Operations Forces were the ones who got Saddam/killed his sons.

  • @sgedeon01 delta force is amazing im not down talking them but they didn't capture saddam, it was either army or marines on a patrol near a "hot" area who found him in a hole.

  • @dienglee Delta not needed? Delta Force conducted multiple successful hostage rescues in Iraq. Delta captured Saddam Hussein, killed his two sons, located and called in an airstrike on Abu Musab al-Zarqawi (the former leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq); Delta captured and killed all of Iraq's 52 most wanted and along with the British SAS were largely responsible for the success of the surge in Iraq. Delta are just better at keeping their missions secret than their Navy counterpart (DEVGRU).

  • @dienglee

I have to admit you make a valid point. Whether we like him or not. He has definately ordered straight up in your face bullet between the eyes hits on alot of terrorist. That cannot be denied. Lol i'd like to see Seal team 6 pay a visit to Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Newt Gingrich. How you like me now haters. I feel his actions have made terrorist groups think twice. You know they hoping we vote Republican. Because none of them scares them like Obama do. Ask Bin Liden.

  • @dienglee Are you mentally retarded? What you said makes no sense.

  • I would find it rather annoying if the media knew about all the operations being done if I was in the unit.

  • They are The Unit.
