The background stays pretty much the same, the music is altered a little. I honestly don't like the changes. If you want to know more just type in Final Fantasy VI Advanced which is the name of the GBA version. Theres videos everywhere for it.

That's a awesome looking background and music kick ass to O_O. Do you know if they keep any of this in the GBA verson?

Although there is some bonuses such as bonus espers and bosses. Actually the only thing I didn't like was the alteration in the music.
